No pink slip for Homer: 'The Simpsons' is renewed

Raise a can of Duff beer! Fox network says "The Simpsons" will be back next fall for its 23rd season. Fox says that will bring the animated series to a total of 515 episodes. "The Simpsons" is the longest-running comedy in TV history. The network announced the renewal Thursday.

'The Simpsons' Get Bitten by 'Twilight'

You know you've arrived as a pop cultural icon when you're spoofed by The Simpsons. Well, they may be a little late in the game on this pop culture gem, but they are taking a stab at it anyway. In the 21 installment of The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror special will take aim at the two hottest things in popular culture right now: Vampires and Twilight.

Fox Pulls Down Banksy ‘Simpsons’ Video From YouTube

In case you haven’t been reading Twitter at all in the past day or so, last night “Banksy” was both the sixth search term on Google Trends and the number six trending topic on Twitter (where it remains to this morning), all because of the elusive street artist’s unbelievably dark and meta storyboarding of the animated series’ infamous intro, which Fox just removed from YouTube for copyright violations.

Review: 'The Simpsons' Season 22 Premiere

I’m always happy when I get an episode of “The Simpsons” early. I haven’t missed one in 22 years. It was appointment viewing and VCR taping long before there was DVR. Now getting a screener just gives me a bonus treat, since I’m so up to date I’m jonesing for the newest one.
